Our Founder, Anthony Orisses, attended an awards dinner one evening, when his coworker told him that his wife bought him a $100 pocket square for the event. 

It was a beautiful piece, but it had one flaw: It wouldn't stay in place. Anthony watched his coworker adjust it all night long. When the event photos came back, the fancy pocket square was nowhere to be seen! If you're going to wear an accessory, don't you want it to show?

Anthony quickly noticed other men with the same pocket square problem. People on the streets of NYC, news anchors, Instagram models, and even grooms at their own weddings were all struggling to keep it up!

It was easy to figure out why. Pocket squares aren't built to stay up. They're flimsy, and they fall out of place quickly. Anthony envisioned a pocket square with a timeless look and feel that never disappointed. A pocket square that can capture any shape and hold it effortlessly.

Anthony developed RARE CUT in Queens, New York, using local artists and craftspeople. His company was inspired by the streets he grew up on, and RARE CUT's designs are a testament to that.

RARE CUT launched on Kickstarter in Fall 2020 and was fully funded in under one hour. This is just the beginning.
